Project

City of Lier

On behalf of the City of Lier, JobRoad will guide 90 to 100 living-wage recipients toward a job in the period 01/01/2026 – 31/12/2026.

The project

The project

In Lier, JobRoad provides living-wage recipients with intensive guidance toward work. Over a period of three months, we support candidates in their search for a sustainable job, with attention to their talents, possibilities and growth potential.

Who is it for?

For clients of OCMW Lier (the public social welfare center) who are ready to take the step into work, or who have grown toward it after a pathway.

How does the pathway work?

  • Getting acquainted – We start with a personal conversation in which we get to know the candidate and look together at job targets, expectations and possibilities.
  • Insight into talents and opportunities – We map out competencies, interests and growth opportunities. On that basis, we define realistic job goals and explore the labor market.
  • Active job hunting – We search in a targeted way for suitable vacancies through our network of employers and partners. Candidates also learn to understand vacancies and respond to them themselves.
  • Guidance with job applications – We prepare candidates for job interviews and accompany them where needed. In this way, we strengthen their chances of a successful match.
  • Start and aftercare – After a successful hire, we remain involved for another month. We follow up, provide support where needed and help make the start as smooth as possible.

Our approach

  • Personalized, tailored guidance
  • Focus on talents and possibilities
  • Active mediation toward inclusive employers
  • Attention to sustainable employment
