City of Mechelen – Individual pathways

The project

In this project, JobRoad provides intensive guidance toward work for living-wage recipients of OCMW Mechelen (the public social welfare center) over a period of three months, with the aim of an activation rate of 30%.

Who is it for?

For clients of OCMW Mechelen who are ready to take the step into work.

How does the pathway work?

• Getting acquainted – We start with a personal conversation in which we get to know the candidate and define job goals and expectations together.
• Insight into talents and opportunities – We map out competencies and interests and translate them into realistic job goals.
• Workshops – Candidates take part in sessions on the labor market, competencies and preparing for work.
• Active job hunting – We search for vacancies in a targeted way through our network and prepare candidates to actively apply themselves.
• Guidance with job applications – We support candidates during job interviews and strengthen their chances of a successful match.
• Start and aftercare – After the start, we remain involved for another month to support integration in the workplace.

On behalf of the City of Mechelen, JobRoad will guide 350 living-wage recipients toward a job in the period 01/12/2025 – 30/11/2026. We aim for an activation rate of 30% (Lot 1). Also on behalf of the City of Mechelen, JobRoad will give 19 workshops for living-wage recipients during the period 01/12/2025 – 30/11/2026 (Lot 2).
