We@work – City of Antwerp
With the support of the City of Antwerp, JobRoad will guide 600 living-wage recipients in the period 01/01/2026 – 31/12/2026 and aims to lead 60% of them effectively into work in the regular employment circuit.
The project
With We@work, JobRoad provides living-wage recipients of OCMW Antwerp (the public social welfare center) with intensive guidance toward work. Through a tailored pathway, we help candidates find their way to a sustainable job in the regular labor market.
Who is it for?
For clients of OCMW Antwerp who are in an activation pathway and are ready to take the step into work.
How does the pathway work?
- Getting acquainted – We start with a personal conversation in which we explain the pathway and discuss expectations and job goals together.
- Insight into talents and opportunities – We map out competencies, interests and growth possibilities. On that basis, we define a realistic job target and explore the labor market.
- Group sessions – Candidates take part in sessions on the labor market, expectations and preparing for work.
- Active job hunting – We search for vacancies in a targeted way through our network of employers and partners, and support candidates in independently finding and understanding job opportunities.
- Guidance with job applications – We prepare candidates for job interviews and accompany them where needed. In this way, we increase their chances of a successful match.
- Start and aftercare – After a successful hire, we remain involved for another month. We follow up, provide support and help make the start as smooth as possible.
- If there is no job yet – When a candidate is not yet working after the pathway, we provide clear feedback and advice on further steps.
Our approach
- Intensive, tailored guidance (up to 6 months)
